A bootable pen drive, also known as a bootable USB drive, is a USB flash drive that has been prepared to act as a bootable device. Bootable pen drives are commonly used to install or run operating systems and perform system recovery tasks.
Creating a bootable pen drive involves copying the necessary files from an ISO image or installation media to the USB drive and making it bootable. Here's a general guide to creating a bootable pen drive:

Obtain the ISO/Image: First, you need the ISO image of the operating system or software you want to make bootable. You can download ISO images from the official website of the operating system or other reliable sources.
Select a Bootable USB Tool: There are several tools available to create bootable USB drives. Some popular ones are Rufus (Windows), Etcher (Windows, macOS, Linux), UNetbootin (Windows, macOS, Linux), and BalenaEtcher (formerly known as Etcher).
Insert the USB Drive: Plug the USB pen drive into an available USB port on your computer. Ensure that the drive has enough capacity to hold the entire contents of the ISO image.
Run the Bootable USB Tool: Launch the bootable USB tool you selected in Step 2. The tool should detect your USB drive automatically.
Select the ISO/Image: In the bootable USB tool, browse for the ISO image you downloaded in Step 1 and select it.
Configure Settings: Some bootable USB tools might have additional settings to configure, such as partition scheme, file system, or target system type. The default settings should work in most cases, but you can adjust them if needed.
Start the Creation Process: Click on the "Start" or "Create" button in the bootable USB tool to begin the creation process. This process may take a few minutes, depending on the size of the ISO image and the speed of your USB drive.
Complete the Process: Once the bootable pen drive is created successfully, the tool will display a completion message. Safely eject the USB drive from your computer.
Your bootable pen drive is now ready to be used. To use it, restart your computer and enter the BIOS or boot menu (usually by pressing a specific key like F2, F12, or Delete during the boot process). Select the USB drive from the list of bootable devices, and the computer should boot from the USB drive, allowing you to install or use the operating system or software from the pen drive.
